Nuraisha Balqis binti Muhammad Khaliq Nassim Abdullah is a FINCO Student Alumni and was one of the first ACE Camp participants in 2024.
During the mock interview session with her mentor at camp, she realised that she gets very nervous speaking in front of others. Her mentor shared that it was a good thing they had identified her weakness, as this was an opportunity for her to improve herself. With that in mind, Aisha continued to involve herself in various programmes that required her to speak in public in order to hone her communication skills.
As an STPM student now, she has taken on the role as a speaker for multiple post-SPM pathway sharing sessions and was even elected as the Programme Director at a student motivation camp that she volunteered for. In order to prepare for these programmes, she found a way to condense her learnings from FINCO programmes and her experience with her counselling teachers into three simple words: “Mencari, Merancang dan Memilih.” She confidently shared her tips with her audience and could see them carry it out themselves.
Through these activities, not only did she build her confidence in public speaking, she was also able to make a concrete decision for her own next steps to pursue her aspiration to be a teacher.
Aisha’s efforts earned her the title of FINCO Life Aspiration Outstanding Student of the Year Award 2024!
