Occupational Safety and Health Policy Statement
FINCO recognises and accepts its health and safety duties for providing a safe and healthy working environment (as far as is reasonably practicable) for all its employees, volunteers, consultants, service providers, visitors to its premises and programme participants. In our role as an employer, we attach the highest priority to ensuring that all the operations are delivered in a manner that is safe and healthy for all.
In particular FINCO Management will:
- Take all reasonably practicable steps to minimise workplace hazards to the extent reasonably practicable;
- Encourage employees, consultants and service providers to co-operate with FINCO in all safety matters, in the identification of hazards which may exist and in the reporting of any condition which may appear dangerous or unsatisfactory;
- Communicate this policy to all stakeholders by suitable means;
- Provide sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable employees and consultants to avoid hazards and contribute to their own safety and health;
- Make, as reasonably practicable, safe arrangements for protection against any risk to the health and safety of volunteers, service providers, programme participants, the general public or other persons who may be participating in FINCO’s activities;
- Make suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to the health and safety of employees and of persons not in the employment of the organisation arising out of or in connection with FINCO’s activities;
- Make specific assessment of risks in respect of young people under the age of eighteen; and
- Promptly report incidents, investigate, share findings with the relevant FINCO Committees and prevent recurrences.
This policy statement and/or the procedures for its implementation may be altered at any time by FINCO’s Management. The statement and the procedures are to be reviewed on an annual basis.
