📚Are you a student looking to improve your financial literacy skills, or a teacher aiming to equip your students?

Join the Ringgit Rules Challenge and stand a chance to win up to RM1,000 for your school!

The Ringgit Rules Challenge is open to all national primary and secondary schools only.

What will students learn?

Students will gain access to the FINCO Ringgit Rules Junior and Ringgit Rules online modules, where they will build essential money management and financial literacy skills through fun, interactive activities, real-life scenarios, reflection exercises, and practical money tips they can apply in their daily lives. 

Designed for self-paced online learning, the modules allow students to learn anytime, anywhere, at their own pace.

Primary Schools (Ringgit Rules Junior)

Students will be introduced to four key financial literacy topics, including

  • Where Does Money Come From?
  • Needs vs Wants
  • Setting Financial Goals
  • Budgeting

Students who successfully complete all lessons will receive a FINCO Certificate

Secondary Schools (Ringgit Rules)

Students will explore essential financial topics, including:

  • Banking Services and Products
  • Personal Financial Planning
  • Scams and Fraud

Students who successfully complete all lessons will receive a FINCO Certificate of Completion, endorsed by the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).

How the challenge works

1. For primary schools students (Ringgit Rules Junior):
Primary school students will need their school teachers to sign up via link to gain access to the platform.

2. For secondary schools students (Ringgit Rules):
Secondary school students may access the portal here.

3. For teachers:
Scan the QR Code or register your school here. Motivate your students to complete FINCO’s Ringgit Rules Online modules by 31 October 2026.–Winners will be announced on 10 November 2026.

Prizes

Prizes are divided into 3 categories.

School Prizes

  • 1st Prize: RM1,000
  • 2nd Prize: RM800
  • 3rd Prize: RM500

Awarded to the school with the highest number of students who successfully complete the online modules.

Teacher Prizes

Win RM100 each

Be one of the first 30 teachers to successfully guide at least 50 students to complete the platform.

Student Prizes

Win RM50 each

10 Lucky secondary school students will be selected each month from July to October. 

To be eligible you must complete the FINCO Ringgit Rules Online Module and follow FINCO on Instagram or TikTok.

  1. Monthly lucky draw winners for the secondary school students that complete the course will be emailed on your registration email. 
  2. Schools with the most students who complete the course will be announced on 10 November 2026.

  1. Only primary or secondary students and teachers from government schools in Malaysia are eligible to participate in this competition. Students and teachers who do not meet these criteria will be disqualified. Incomplete submissions will automatically be disqualified.
  2. Explicit content is strictly prohibited in the FINCO online platform. 
  3. Parental/Guardian Consent: If you are a student under the age of 18, ensure you have a parent or guardian’s permission to participate on the FINCO online platform and their agreement to the following terms:
  4. By entering this competition, you agree to give FINCO your permission to publish any materials for promotional or educational purposes on their online platforms.
  5. Publication of content will take place on FINCO’s website, Facebook, Instagram, and/or TikTok, and may be used for public relations purposes. In addition, you assure us that you own the rights to the text, photos and videos that you grant us the right to use them. We assume no responsibility for the contents of the individual contributions.
  6. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Purpose Specification: FINCO will keep confidential all personal information collected through this competition. We may however disclose such information to the following parties in the course of using the information for the reason it was collected:
    1. A person or company acting on behalf of FINCO;
    2. Any other person or company who has undertaken to keep such information confidential, provided they have a right to such information.
  7. Data Retention: We will keep any personal information you give us as long as there is a reason to do so, for instance to satisfy the law or regulations, or to protect our interests. If not, then we will destroy it by purging it from our electronic, manual, and other filing systems according to our internal procedures and schedules.
