The Alumni Challenge 2026 invites FINCO Reads Alumni teachers to design and conduct an immersive and meaningful English learning activity using digital tools.

Prizes

Prizes are divided into 2 categories.

All winners and selected outstanding submissions will be given the opportunity to showcase their activity at FINCO’s National Symposium to be held in November 2026.

How to enter

Step 1: Plan Your Activity

Design an immersive and meaningful English language learning activity using digital tools where students actively learn and use English. Identify clear learning objectives.

Step 2: Conduct & Document Your Activity

Implement the activity with your students and capture student participation and engagement through photos, videos, screenshots, student work, Canva materials (if any), worksheets (if any) or other digital evidence. 

Note: Please ensure your submissions protect your students’ identity.

Step 3: Submit Your Entry

Complete the online or offline form by answering the provided questions and attaching supporting evidence.

Tips and ideas

You can use any digital tool or design any immersive English language learning activity. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Winner Announcement

  1. Only FINCO Reads Alumni teachers from government schools in Malaysia are eligible to participate in this competition. Teachers who do not meet these criteria will be disqualified.
  2. All entries must be submitted by 11.59pm on 27 August 2026.
  3. Entries must be submitted in English and must be the original work of the teacher.
  4. Incomplete or unsigned submissions will automatically be disqualified.
  5. Each FINCO Reads Alumni teacher can submit only 1 entry. 
  6. By entering this competition, you agree to give FINCO your permission to publish any materials for promotional or educational purposes on their online platforms.
  7. The publication will take place on the FINCO website, on Facebook and/or Instagram and/or TikTok, and it can be used for public relations purposes. In addition, you assure us that you own the rights to the text, photos and videos that you grant us the right to use them. We assume no responsibility for the content of the individual contributions.
  8. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Purpose Specification: FINCO will keep confidential all personal information collected through this competition. We may however disclose such information to the following parties in the course of using the information for the reason it was collected:
    1. A person or company acting on behalf of FINCO;
    2. Any other person or company who has undertaken to keep such information confidential, provided they have a right to such information.
  9. Data Retention: We will keep any personal information you give us as long as there is a reason to do so, for instance to satisfy the law or regulations, or to protect our interests. If not, then we will destroy it by purging it from our electronic, manual, and other filing systems according to our internal procedures and schedules.
