Are you a primary or secondary school student aged 7 – 17 in Malaysia? In conjunction with World Book Day, we want to hear from you!

If you could live in any book world, which one would it be and why?

How can you participate?

Like the giveaway announcement post on our Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Be sure to follow us on these accounts as well!

Step 2

In the comments section of the giveaway announcement post, tell us tell us which book world you would love to live in and why. Your comment must not exceed 80 words

Step 3

Tag two friends in your comment to spread the word! Submissions without tags will not be accepted.

What the judges are looking for?

Creativity

Your entry should present a unique and imaginative perspective on the chosen book world.

Reasoning

The entry is a clear and thoughtful explanation of why the book was chosen.

It will also be checked for originality on Grammarly and Scribbr.

Clarity & Engagement

Your entry is well-written and aligns closely with the theme or purpose of the contest.

  1. Only primary and secondary school students in Malaysia are eligible to participate in this competition. Participants who do not meet these criteria will be disqualified.
  2. Entries must be submitted in English and must be the original work of the student.
  3. Parental/Guardian Consent: If you are a student under the age of 18 or submitting on their behalf and are not their parent or guardian, before submitting an entry please ensure you have a parent or guardian’s permission to participate and their agreement to the following terms.
  4. By entering this competition, you agree to give FINCO your permission to publish any materials for promotional or educational purposes on their online platforms.
  5. The publication will take place on the FINCO website, on Facebook and Instagram and it can be used for public relations purposes. In addition, you assure us that you own the rights to the text and you grant us the right to use them. We assume no responsibility for the contents of the individual contributions.
  6. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Purpose Specification: FINCO will keep confidential all personal information collected through this competition. We may however disclose such information to the following parties in the course of using the information for the reason it was collected:
    • A person or company acting on behalf of FINCO;
    • Any other person or company who has undertaken to keep such information confidential, provided they have a right to such information.
  7. Data Retention: We will keep any personal information you give us as long as there is a reason to do so, for instance to satisfy the law or regulations, or to protect our interests. If not, then we will destroy it by purging it from our electronic, manual, and other filing systems according to our internal procedures and schedules.
