FAQ

Each teacher can nominate one (1) student only

FINCO only requires simple evidence for verification purposes. Any evidence that can demonstrate that students meet the criteria is highly valued. The collection of evidence should not burden the teachers and the nominees. To understand the criteria and the types of answers and evidence expected, you may refer to the “Criteria” segment above.

  1. Only HIP-FINCO Reads students from the 2023 cohort may be nominated for an award.
  2. A teacher can only nominate one (1) student from any primary year groups taught.
  3. Teachers are not obligated to respond to all questions presented in the nomination form. Nevertheless, providing answers to the questions is crucial in aiding the judging panel’s selection of deserving students.
  4. Parental/Guardian Consent: By submitting a nomination, the teacher confirms that they have acquired the appropriate parental/guardian consent for their child to be nominated and attend the Awards Ceremony if selected as a winner, and also allowing FINCO to utilise any provided materials and images on its online platforms for promotional or educational purposes.
  5. Rights to materials: Additionally, the teacher confirms that they or the nominee holds the rights to any texts, photos, and videos submitted. FINCO holds no responsibility for the contents of individual contributions.
  6. Use and Disclosure of Personal Data and Purpose Specification: FINCO will keep confidential all personal information collected through this activity. We may however disclose such information to relevant parties in the course of using the information for the reason it was collected:
    1. A person or company acting on behalf of FINCO;
    2. Any other person or company who has undertaken to keep such information confidential, provided they have a right to such information.
  7. Data Retention: We will keep any personal information you give us as long as there is a reason to do so, for instance to satisfy the law or regulations, or to protect our interests.
