FINCO Life Aspiration Outstanding
Student of the Year 2025, Raywhansyha Ray Bexter

Raywhansyha Ray Bexter, or Ray, was once a shy student from SMK Sepulot in Sabah with little confidence in himself. Everything began to change after he participated in the Hala Tuju Selepas SPM Aspire workshop by FINCO, encouraged by his school counsellor who recognised his potential.
Through reflection and guidance activities using the ASPIRE activity book, Ray began identifying his strengths, including his strong interest in the environment and his ability to work in groups. At the same time, he realised he needed to build confidence in speaking in front of others and began working on this by participating more actively in school activities.
Ray’s growing confidence led to him being appointed as a Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya (PRS) at his school. Through PRS activities and school sessions organised by the Guidance and Counselling Unit, he has shared his experiences and motivated other students to think about their future pathways.
Ray is particularly passionate about modern agriculture, explaining to his friends how technology such as hydroponics, fertigation, automation, sensors, artificial intelligence and drones can transform the industry.
After SPM, Ray hopes to pursue a Diploma in AgroTechnology and start a small agricultural project. His dedication was recognised when he received the FINCO Outstanding Student of the Year Award 2025.
“Ray has the determination and awareness of how important agriculture is for the country’s future.”
